Whole Food Plant Based Diet Psoriasis
I started a whole foods plant-based diet on April 26th, and am starting to see immediate results in my psoriasis. For the record, I am type 2 diabetic, have psoriasis AND just found out I have psoriatic arthritis. Two years ago I went vegan but still fell off the wagon with dairy a few times. And I ate tons of processed vegan foods. Now Im completely vegan and have, as of nearly three weeks ago, eliminated added oils, sugar, wheat and corn. I still have yet to eliminate soy and nightshades. Two things that are literally staples in my diet, and hopefully never have to give up.
In just 7 days on my clean diet, I dropped my fasting blood sugar 25 points and lost 5 pounds, combining my new way of eating with 18:6 intermittent fasting. Im eating roughly 70-75% of my food raw, to hyper-nourish my body.
In 9 days, all of the psoriasis on my chest completely disappeared. Literally. I came out of the shower one fine day and gasped to see a clear-skinned chest with no visible scarring.
In 2 weeks, my arms are nearly clear, as are my legs, but I still have facial and scalp psoriasis, though even here the wheals seem calmed down and not as raised, but they are still flaking.
Finally, 20 days in, Im 35 points down on my fasting blood sugar and 8 pounds down.
I can also breathe more clearly, have clearer eyes, and the rosacea has all but disappeared from my cheeks. My skin color is also evening out.

I ate some meat, a lot of chicken, and a lot of eggs and dairy. I ate some fruits and vegetables but not much, and mainly white bread. I ate cakes, chocolate, fried food, drank a fair amount of alcohol.
